David-Jacques Farahi, COO of Monarch Casino and President of Colorado Gaming Association, Named as a 2020 DBJ 40 Under 40 Winner

By   –  Associate Editor, Denver Business Journal

Forty young business leaders are being honored by Denver Business Journal for its 24th 40 Under 40 awards program in 2020 — and this year they’re showing off more than their business acumen. The 2020 theme: Denver’s Got Talent!

The winners — all under the age of 40 — will show off their secret (and not-so-secret) talents onstage at the iconic Fillmore Auditorium during a plated dinner on Wednesday, Feb. 12.

The event will kick off with a special welcome Gov. Jared Polis — this year’s 40 Under 40 Hall of Fame honoree and a distinguished alum of DBJ’s 40 Under 40 class of 2000.

This year, we’re asking our winners to participate in the Selfie Challenge, which allows them to unlock badges and win prizes throughout the month leading up to the Feb. 12 event. Participants who unlocked the first achievement are displayed in these galleries with an exclusive “I’ve got talent” photo frame.

An editorial panel was tasked with judging the more than 400 nominations received. Judges assigned nominees scores across three categories:

  • Leadership
  • Company contributions
  • Community involvement
