Ellen Valde is the Denver Managing Partner for PwC, leading a team of nearly 700 professionals throughout Colorado in delivering high quality, innovative business solutions to clients.
Ellen has been with PwC for over 30 years and has served as a partner for 20 years. Prior to her appointment as Denver Managing Partner, Ellen served as PwC’s Midwest Region Private Company Services (PCS) Practice Leader. Her previous roles included Market Assurance Leader and PCS Market Leader in Minneapolis.
Ellen has extensive experience leading and managing global public engagements, as well as large family-owned, private equity-owned and fast growing companies. Ellen provides guidance to clients in structuring business transactions and has significant experience with mergers and acquisitions.
Ellen’s true passion is people development. She was one of the catalyst organizers for PwC’s women’s networking circles, a program designed to provide access to role models, mentors and networks across the firm. Among Ellen’s notable achievements is her recognition as the PwC mentor of the year. Ellen is actively involved with recruiting and has served on PwC’s partner admission committee. Ellen is also the Managing Partner for PwC’s Workforce of the Future platform.
Ellen’s community involvement is extensive and includes leadership positions as the Downtown Denver Inc. Board member and treasurer, Colorado Concern member, Metro Denver Economic Development Corporation Board member, United Way – Women United member, CU-Denver Board of Advisors, and St. Thomas University Board of Governors.
Ellen received a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Northern Iowa (UNI). She is a licensed Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Management Accountant. Ellen has been honored as the UNI Alumni of the Year, Top Woman in Business and Top Woman in Finance.
Ellen grew up on a family farm in South Dakota and was actively engaged in her family’s seed corn business. She is married and has two children.
